Rebound Physical Therapy Work Injury Rehabilitation Program
At Rebound Physical Therapy Bend North, we specialize in helping the injured worker from initial injury to return to work in the most efficient manner possible. Rebound offers “Same Day” assessments at anyone of its 10 Clinics in Central Oregon to initiate care and start the return to work process as quickly as possible. Our separate Work Injury Facility (Adjacent to Rebound North clinic) is equipped for all Physical Capacity/ Work Capacity Testing and Work Simulation Rehabilitation (Work Conditioning / Work Hardening). In this facility we are able to provide the testing needed by providers, insurers, employers. We are also able to re-create job demands specific to the injured worker and simulate the duties and movements required by them to safely return to work. We are the only physical therapy Bend provider to have a separate facility devoted to testing and work simulation.
Aurora specializes in outpatient orthopedics and sub-specialty of women’s and men’s pelvic health issues. Aurora obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Physical Therapy from Southern Oregon University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University (Mesa, Arizona). Aurora continued her postgraduate education through the Institute of Physical Art and Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and specializing in pelvic health and treatment of orthopedic incontinence in both women and men. Aurora has extensive experience in treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions and patients of different age ranges and activity levels. She strives to provide a comprehensive, whole body assessment and spectrum of treatment technique to return patients to their desired activities. Growing up in Southern Oregon, Aurora took advantage of the seasons to maintain a year-round active lifestyle. From playing volleyball to rafting and snowboarding, she is excited to be back in a community that accommodates all the activities she loves.

Originally from Michigan, Eric completed his undergraduate degree at Siena Heights University, where he also competed as a four-year collegiate athlete in cross-country and track & field. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY.
Following graduation he worked at Kentucky Orthopedic Rehab Team where he completed a year-long orthopedic clinical development program, served as the regional running specialist, and earned certification in vestibular rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance.
Eric’s clinical interests include a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, manual therapy, and being able to work one-on-one with his patients to help them return to the activities they enjoy. Eric is currently in the progress of becoming a certified manual physical therapist through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
In his free time, Eric enjoys numerous outdoor activities including, mountain biking, running, backpacking, and spending time with his wife Mary and their two girls Cora and Lilah.

Jessica Johnson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, Arizona), where she competed on the rugby and golf teams. She continued her education with the completion of a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University (Forest Grove, Oregon). Upon graduation, Jessica worked in orthopedic PT settings in San Francisco for 10 years; she then spent several years working as a traveling PT across the country.
Jessica’s passion for fitness greatly influences her treatment philosophy: she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) and a certified Level 1 CrossFit trainer (CF-L1). She often applies strength-training concepts into her treatment practice. Jessica is also board certified in Orthopedic physical therapy (OCS). She has also earned her Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certification. TPI is dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.
Jessica is drawn to community service and helping others. She served as a volunteer PT in Central and South America through Operation Rainbow —a nonprofit that provides orthopedic surgeries and care for children in need.
Outside of work, Jessica stays active with competitive CrossFit, running and cycling (she has completed the AIDS/Lifecycle ride through California and the Ironman Vineman 70.3). Jessica loves to explore new trails and camp in National Parks with her partner and their dog, Lakota.

Joy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and then in 1999, Joy graduated from the University of Southern California with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She worked for USC University Hospital in rehab, acute, and eventually orthopedics while also doing a year-long manual therapy curriculum in 2001. In 2004, Joy was recognized as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and in 2006 as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
After leaving USC University Hospital in 2003, Joy then worked for another local LA hospital in outpatient orthopedics, while also volunteering and working as adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Southern California Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy Department. Joy was born and raised in Palo Alto, California.
As a child and teenager, she was always active, either trying to keep up with her two older brothers or running circles around them playing sports year-round. After graduating from high school, Joy had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand with an all-star Northern California basketball team representing the USA. She, her husband and 2 daughters enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing, and snowshoeing.
Prior to moving to Bend, Melissa resided in Southern California where she gained extensive PT experience in outpatient orthopedics and treating patients of all ages and levels of athletic abilities, including professional and collegiate athletes. During her time in Southern CA, Melissa also successfully started-up a clinic and served as its Director; she oversaw the administrative and operational functions of the clinic and attained ample experience as a clinic instructor.
Melissa graduated with her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. Following graduation, she received her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS). She then became a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. Melissa has a special place in her heart for working with patients that have lymphedema and/or are living with and recovering from cancer treatments.
A native of New Hampshire, Melissa loves to have her family out enjoying all things snow and winter sports, especially skiing and snowboarding. Being a former marathon runner and coach for novice runners, Melissa hopes to get back to running long distances. She and her husband enjoy camping, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and spending time with their children and three dogs.
Pablo Gomez grew up in the mountain playground of Taos, New Mexico. He spent his summers playing baseball and winters skiing as much as he could. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Redlands in California where he played two years of baseball as a catcher before a shoulder injury ended his career. Pablo then earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Prior to Rebound, Pablo practiced physical therapy in his hometown of Taos while pursuing coursework and training to develop a specialty in sports rehabilitation. As the Clinic Manager at Rebound’s Boss Sports Performance location, Pablo treats a wide range of athletes of all ages and skill levels. Pablo is board-certified in orthopedics (OCS) and has worked with many professional athletes, including NFL and MLB players. In addition to treating sports injuries, Pablo helps athletes enhance their performance and remain injury-free during their seasons.
Pablo is an avid golfer and loves playing on Bend’s numerous world-class courses. Merging his love for golf and passion for treating athletes, Pablo earned his Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certification. TPI is dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. In his free time, Pablo also enjoys spending time with his wife and young son.
Seth completed his undergraduate work in Physiology at Iowa State University and University of Minnesota. He moved to Oregon to attend Pacific University where he earned a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1993. Seth specializes in biomechanical analysis and manual therapy of the spine and extremities and is a co-owner of Rebound.
He is a PT for the U.S. Snowboard and Freeskiing teams, enjoys surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, running and anything active off the the grid. He has competed in many ironman distance triathlons and marathon running events….most of all he enjoys spending time with Shara and their 4 kids.
