In-office appointments are still available at all of our locations, but we are welcoming patients that are unable to make it into the clinic to join our telehealth program.
Who is telehealth physical therapy for?
Telehealth sessions are ideal for individuals who are currently unable to receive physical therapy at one of our clinics. Virtual visits allow patients to connect with their physical therapist and receive medically necessary care at home via the internet. This will allow patients to avoid any long-term gap in treatment that can be detrimental in recovery. At a time when healthcare resources are limited, telehealth is a cost-effective way to receive one-on-one care from a licensed physical therapist.
What do I need for a telehealth appointment?
Rebound’s telehealth appointments are done through an easy-to-use, HIPAA-compliant platform called doxy.me. All that is needed for access is an email address and a computer or mobile device with a camera. For more information on how to connect to doxy.me, click here.
What does a telehealth visit look like?
During a telehealth visit, your physical therapist will check in on your progress with a plan of care and review your goals and home exercise plan with you. Your PT may also address any errors in regard to performing exercises, and modify treatment as needed based on whether your symptoms are improving or worsening. Additionally, your PT will be able to answer any questions you might have related to your condition, progress and plan of care.
