Tom Watson PT, DPT, DAAPM

Dr. Tom Watson, Director of Rebound Pain Management Program, has been a physical therapist since 1973 and has earned Doctor and Bachelor Degrees in Physical Therapy and a Masters of Education Degree. He is experienced in treating acute and chronic pain conditions including headaches, musculoskeletal/myofascial pain, cancer pain, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, neurological and psychological pain, fibromyalgia, neuropathies and temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Watson is a Diplomate American Academy of Pain Management (AAPM), the only Physical Therapist in Oregon credentialed in Pain Management, immediate past secretary Board of Directors AAPM, Chair of the Education Advisory Committee AAPM, past Commissioner Oregon Pain Commission, committee member Pain Standards Force Central Oregon, and serves on the Advisory Board of Spinetronics. He has presented more than 70 lectures for the national and state American Physical Therapy Association meetings, the AAPM, Ortho-McNeill Pharmaceuticals and The Oregon Pain Management Commission. Watson has published more than 60 articles in journals and trade magazines, has written a home study program on “Pharmacology, Chronic Pain and Physical Therapy” for the APTA and 2 chapters in textbooks including “Physical Therapy and Pain Management” in Weiner’s 7th Edition of Pain Management in 2006. Tom spends his spare time with his wife Georgiann, 5 local grandkids and their German Shepard Layla. They are active in their church.
