Matt Hayes PT, CHT

Matt Hayes PT, CHT joins our East side clinic. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a BS in education, Matt earned his physical therapy degree from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA in 2002. He has worked in outpatient private practice settings for 15 years.  He holds multiple board certifications in manual therapy specifically through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars and has been a board certified hand therapist (CHT) for 10 yrs.  Currently, only seven Maitlaind trained therapists practice in Oregon, of which he is the only certified hand therapist.. He has also pursued several other educational opportunities through NAIOMT (North American Institute of Manual Therapy), Grey Cook Functional Movement Systems (FMS / SFMA) as well as physical challenge certifications Russian Kettlebells by Pavel. Matt is comfortable treating a variety of orthopedic diagnoses non surgical related as well as pre and post surgical recovery to get back to work or sport. He also teaches other physical therapists in the United States in the area manual therapy for treatment of pain and movement dysfunctions. He moved to the Pacific Northwest to enjoy all of the four season’s outdoor activities with his wife Wendy and their three year old son, Hunter. In his spare time he competes in endurance cycling and has completed the Leadville 100, DK 200.
