We are happy to welcome Nicole Olney, PT, DPT, CF-L2, to Rebound! Nicole will be seeing patients at our East Bend Clinic.
A native of the San Fernando Valley in California, Nicole served for 11 years in the Marine Corps. prior to pursuing a career as a physical therapist. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University San Marcos in California, and then a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (San Marcos).
Nicole is passionate about incorporating strength training into her PT practice. She has been a CrossFit coach for almost five years and is a certified Level 2 trainer (CF-L2). Her clinical interests also include pelvic health; Nicole recently completed the Pelvic Floor Level 1 course through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
Outside of work, Nicole stays active through hiking, backpacking, gym workouts and indoor rock climbing. She enjoys exploring Central Oregon by foot, mountain bike and skis with her partner, Phil, and their dogs, Copper (Basenji) and Lola (German Shepherd).
We asked Nicole some rapid fire questions to get to learn more about her!
What do you like to do on a rainy day? Read and drink coffee, cook a warm and cozy meal, clean and organize.
What is the next place on your travel bucket list and why? Nepal -base camp of Mt. Everest. I enjoy the mountains at higher altitudes and traveling to other countries while immersing myself in the culture. I also love to incorporate physical activity while traveling.
What food do you wish had zero calories? Pastries. All types.
What was your favorite toy growing up? Gumby.
Any hidden talents? Drawing.
