David Bergstrom, PT, DPT has joined our crew! He will be working full-time as a physical therapist at our Bend West clinic.
Originally from Grand Marais, Minnesota, David received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Dakota where he played Division 1 tennis in the Big Sky Conference for four years. Following his undergraduate work, David earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from The College of St. Scholastica (Duluth, Minn.).
David treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions with a special interest in sports medicine. He holds a certification in Blood Flow Restriction training with Owens Recovery Science and is certified in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Level 1) through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy.
In his free time, David loves to hike, bike and trail run with his wife, Paige, and their dogs Jax (an Australian Cattle Dog mix) and Indy (a Blue Heeler/Husky mix). You can also find David on a tennis court or exploring beautiful Central Oregon.
We asked David some rapid fire questions to get to know him better!
What do you do to relax? Get outside as much as possible. I love to mountain bike, play tennis, trail run, ski, spend time with my two dogs and wife Paige, and enjoy a beer with friends.
What’s one hobby you’d love to get into? I can’t choose just one, so I’ll offer two: rock climbing and river kayaking.
If you could teleport, where would you go and why? The All England Club in London to watch Wimbledon.
What is one thing you still have from your childhood? My first tennis racquet.
What is your favorite dessert? Espresso ice cream.
Do you have any hidden talents? Unsure if this qualifies as a talent, but one thing many people don’t know about me is that I am a good cook. I spent my childhood learning from the best, my dad, who was a chef by trade.
