Understanding Chronic Pain
The body’s chronic pain response in most cases does not serve a useful purpose in the healing process. Additionally, prolonged rest and avoiding activities can actually make chronic conditions worse as muscles become debilitated and conditioning declines. When muscles weaken, function declines and a dysfunctional pain cycle can develop.
Chronic pain does not have to become a way of life. With a team approach and the correct treatment, pain relief and improved function can become a reality.
Our Chronic Pain Management specialists utilize a wide array of manual therapy techniques, graded exercise including aquatic therapy, Watsu, acupuncture, and the latest therapeutic modalities such as cold laser, microcurrent, e-stim, TENS, and diathermy to treat your pain and increase function.
