GOLF SWING ANALYSIS
Jan 23, 2008

What is a golf swing analysis?
A golf swing analysis includes a physical therapy evaluation and a digital video analysis of your golf swing by a physical therapist.

What can a golf swing analysis do for me?
The purpose of a golf swing analysis is to reduce the amount of pain and strain you may be inflicting upon your body as a result of chronic inflammation, compensation for old injuries, muscle imbalance, or difference in flexibility from left to right. By using the video analysis, the physical therapist is able to identify those movement patterns and swing mechanics that may be causing you pain and work with you to eliminate them.

What does a golf swing analysis cost?
In many cases, insurance will cover the costs of your golf swing analysis provided you have a doctor’s prescription for treatment of an orthopedic issue, such as lower back pain. If you do not have insurance, a golf swing analysis costs $150.

Is a golf swing analysis really worth it?
If you are a regular golfer and are suffering from pain, a golf swing analysis can help you decrease the amount of strain you are placing on your body and improve the quality of your golf swing.

What should I bring with me to my golf swing analysis and how long will I be there?
Please allow approximately an hour and a half to two hours for your complete golf swing analysis. You should bring your driver and at least one iron, preferably a short iron such as the 7 iron.
