Physiological Testing
Every level of athlete wants to get results from training. Physiological testing establishes benchmarks to improve aspects of your running, cycling, skiing or any sport you choose. Rebound provides many types of testing, that can provide easy to use data:
- Training zones by heart rate
- VO2 max
- Percent body fat
- Power measured in watts at your anaerobic threshold and maximum power
Knowing these numbers and owning a heart rate monitor or some type of power-measuring device will give you the ability to set goals for improvement and monitor progress.
Isokinetic Testing
Isokinetic testing can accurately measure the strength of specific muscles and muscle groups. Rebound applies the latest technology from Cybex to assess joint strength and positioning at every angle. The data is used to help customize a strength program. Gait Analysis
Repetitive training can lead to muscular strength and flexibility imbalances. An example of this would be a runner’s calves and hamstrings become very tight and strong while the quadriceps becomes relatively weak. Persistent training can drive these imbalances to the point of injury. A biomechanical evaluation will help identify any imbalances an athlete has in terms of alignment, flexibility and strength. Specific stretches, strengthening exercises, and running technique drills will be recommended to help minimize and correct these imbalances. Also we offer advice on running shoe selection and custom orthotics if necessary.
Biomechanical Bike Fit
A bike that is not fitted properly can cause pain and discomfort while riding. By getting a bike fit, you’ll ensure that you get a bike that fits you and also learn techniques to help improve your riding. A bike fit will help you learn to find a balanced place on the bike, which will reduce the amount of wasted energy and extra muscular movements. We teach pedal mechanics that will result in a smooth, circular movement that reduces strain on your muscles and joints and helps you to ride more comfortably and efficiently.
